How to Install GSE Smart IPTV on Firestick in 2025

GSE Smart IPTV player is an Android-based app that allows users to import their favorite channels from multiple IPTV services. However, contrary to popular belief, it is not an IPTV service provider. In essence, GSE Smart is an IPTV player which can play from both local device sources and online. It is compatible with most IPTV subscriptions if the provider supports the Xtream Codes API or EPG Guides.

Step 1:  First, install the Downloader app to install the GSE Smart IPTV.

Step 8: The window displays applications that you haven’t downloaded from official sources. Select the Downloader app and enable it.

With that, your device is ready to install third-party applications. Now, we can install GSE Smart IPTV. And to begin with, you have to open the Downloader app. 

Step 9: On the app home screen, you should see the URL textbox. Click on it, and using the on-screen keyboard, type the following:

Also, if you want to use a shortened version of the URL, enter  “gsesmartiptv.com.”

Step 10: Once you’re done typing, hit GO.

The Downloader app will then redirect you to a webpage via a browser window. Scroll down the page. After that, choose the tab Download for Amazon Devices. It connects the Downloader app to the file location and starts downloading GSE Smart APK on the device.

Step 11: A window will pop up after downloading the APK. Click on INSTALL and allow a few minutes for the procedure to get done.

Step 12: Once the installation is over, you will see another prompt telling the completion of the process. Hit DONE.

If you have more than 20 apps installed on your Firestick, you might not necessarily find the GSE Smart IPTV icon on the home screen. In case you’re worried about the ways to access the app, follow the steps below. 

On the Firestick home screen, navigate to the Settings option. From there, go to Applications and then Manage Applications. From the list of apps, locate GSE Smart TV and launch the app.

On the Firestick remote, press the Home button for about 5 seconds. When the prompt window is displayed, click on the Apps icon. 

Scroll down to find the newly installed GSE Smart IPTV app and select it.

For quicker access, you can also move the app and add it to your home screen. 

You will need to press the 3-line menu key on the remote, and on the prompt window, hit on Move. Now, drag the app icon from the bottom to the first row.

Since GSE Smart IPTV has installed already on the device, let’s get you to familiarize yourself with the interface now.

When you run the app the first time, a prompt window asking for permission will appear. Proceed by tapping OK. 

Another pop-up window will appear at the bottom of the screen. Select Allow.

Then, another EULA prompt and some more disclaimers will show up. Press AGREE to continue.

You’ll arrive at the home screen of the GSE Smart app. On the left column, you will see several items under the head LOCAL, REMOTE and EPG.

First, under the LOCAL tab, you’ll find the following options:

• Local Playlists: With this function, you can add playlists locally stored on the device.
• Android Local Media: Provides the same feature as the above one, except you don’t have to upload anything to any playlist. Videos, music, etc., can be directly played from the local storage. 
• Upload playlist with FTP: As the name implies, this option allows you to download playlists from FTP servers.
• Mode: This feature enables to toggle between devices, be it mobile or a TV. The app usually auto-detects the device type. But in case it doesn’t, you can change it manually.

Second, under the REMOTE tab, you’ll see the following choices.

This feature allows you to import M3U or JSON playlists from the internet. Most IPTV service providers support playlists and also offer M3U link options. 

So, if you have an IPTV subscription, all you have to do is input a playlist URL,  and you’re ready to go. 

Step 1: Choose Remote Playlists and on the next screen, click on the “+” button on the top.

Step 2: When a window prompts up, pick one of the following options: Add M3U URL or ADD JSON URL.
